Noggin & Roof ready

So Friday was move day, Saturday was day 1 of cleaning the apartment and Sunday was noggin day!

Our roof is going on this week and to have things strengthened and ready to add our grand alfresco and pergola after handover we had to install noggin to elevation C and D of the house. Dad is a Builder (lucky us!) and has become our unofficial site foreman for all extra work (and there's a lot of it!) that is required after handover.

We added in some extra noggin to the walls to hold the wall hung TV's, some large photo frames in the study, timber divider/feature wall in the theatre room, towel hook in the ensuite and a few other bits a pieces so we don't have the problem of not being able to hang things where we want them once the walls are up! Little bit of pre-planning can go a long way later down the track.

We're also going to check with our Site Supervisor to see if we can add in some 10-20mm thick ply wood to the roof near the manhole to create a mini attic for non-heavy items as the roof space is huge up there!

Hopefully after our next visit the roof will be complete along with the electrical rough in wooo!
